Antioxidants have become the ‘buzzword’ in both the beauty world and medical circles as we understand more about their powerful abilities, from fighting disease to acting as the antidote to ageing. Oxidation releases free radicals, damaging the body in many ways, and it can be exacerbated by stress, pollution, alcohol consumption, smoking and bad diet.

As well as accelerating the ageing process, free radicals are suspected in the development of serious health conditions. Antioxidants are the body’s natural defence against the damage caused by free radicals and our drip aims to boost your levels of these essential vitamins and minerals.

Key ingredients in our drips are the potent antioxidants Alpha-Lipoid Acid, Vitamin C and the mineral selenium. Vitamin C has been found to play an effective role in preventing cells and their DNA from damage and mutation. A deficiency in the trace mineral selenium has been found to increase the risk of developing various health concerns.

Nutrients:

Zinc – it protects against oxidation of the sulfhydryl group of proteins and regulates the activity of metallothioneins that remove oxidants. In addition, it works in synergy with other previously mentioned ingredients, e.g. vitamin E, which protects against oxidation of cell membranes.

Ubichinon – It protects our cells against damage caused by free radicals, and also regenerates another antioxidant, tocopherol (vitamin E), and allows it to continue working.

Selen – can slow down the body’s aging processes. It protects cells and their components (cell membranes, mitochondrial membranes and DNA) against the negative effects of free radicals.
